Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
You might see happy people around but you never know what exactly is going on inside that happy people. Sometimes the happiest and fun-loving person goes through mental illness. You should always look after yourself before you encounter mental illness. You need to identify what exactly is not serving you. Never bind your feelings no matter what talk it out in front of someone you think will understand. If you will not work on your mental health then no one can save you from depression and depression is the worst case. So before depression hits you, talk about your mental health.
Consult psychologist, Treat your mental health like you treat your physical health.
If there is something you can’t discuss with your family, friend or your partner then you should consult the psychologist and trust me there is nothing wrong with consulting the psychologist. You shouldn’t be embarrassed about consulting the psychologist. When we fall sick we need treatments from the doctors in the same way when we are not feeling ok or we feel depressed or stressed and can’t figure out how do we treat this issue then you need to get yourself a check from the psychologist. Never think what people will think when it’s about your mental health. You deserve happiness, peace, love everything. Stop thinking about others and focus on yourself first.
Here are some simple guidelines that you can follow to make your mental health better.
1) Don’t compare yourself with others.
Yes, Please start appreciating yourself and all the things you have. Just be yourself. You don’t have to become someone else. You can never be happy or fully satisfied with your life when you start comparing your life with others.
2) Show some kindness to yourself.
Don’t be so harsh on yourself to fulfill others’ expectations. listen to your heart. If there is something that is not good for your mental health please avoid doing that. Show some love to yourself. have fun, make new friends laugh often, plan a vacation for yourself. Don’t just waste your life making money. Live your life too.
3) Always remember your worth.
Hey! You are worthy. Keep saying this to yourself. No matter how bad your day always remember your importance. Don’t wait for others to make you realize how important you are for them. You are important. Always remember your success rather than write down your success. See how far you have come already and all this has happened because you had all the capabilities and skills to achieve everything you have today. Be proud of yourself. Never question your existence.
Give your parents a break and show some love and care by doing your things on your own. Your parents will feel proud and happy seeing you independent and their happiness and trust on you will give you immense relief and confidence to live your life the way you want to.
