Ganpatipule is a town located on the Konkan coast of Western India. (District: Ratnagiri) Maharashtra. This town is known for some beautiful beaches and Ganpati temples.
Recently I have visited Ganpatipule and my vacation was splendid. We have started our road trip from Mumbai at 5 am and witnessed some exotic locations which were so soothing. We reached Ganpatipule and checked in to our resort at around 7.30 pm. We booked a Green leaf resort by Club Mahindra. The resort was descent. Our trip was for only two days. We covered some outrageous locations such as
1) Swayambhu Ganpati Temple.
On the first day, we went to Swayambhu Ganpati Temple where we sought blessings from Lord Ganesha and later we sat and meditated for a while and then took some great pictures in front of the beach. This temple is located right next to the beach.
2) Ratandurg Fort.
Our second destination was Ratandurg fort. This fort is in the horse shape and is surrounded by the Arabian Sea. This fort was used for keeping an eye on the pirates. The view of the Arabian Sea was astonishing. We couldn’t stop ourselves by clicking so many pictures there.
3) Prachin Konkan Museum.
Prachin Konkan is a museum that depicts the social, economic and cultural life in Konkan. You need a guide who can explain everything inside the village. It also features life-sized displays & Sculptures that shows village life and culture. Do not forget to try KonKon food at the end.
4) Malgund Beach.
This beach was beautiful. Since there was no pollution the beach was super clean. The seawater was very clear. At Malgund beach, we spent and some quality time together and did water sports. so it was fun visiting this beach.
My trip to Ganpatipule was marvelous. Due to a shortage of time, we missed some places. but we will be visiting Ganpatipule again and will cover those places. We realized if you are traveling Ganpatipule by road then you need at least 2-3 days excluding your travel date to cover all the famous locations of Ganpatipule. This place is perfect for your silent vacation where you just want to chill and relax with your friends and family. so if you are looking for a break from your hectic schedule plan your visit to Ganpatipule now.
