There are so many reasons to love yourself first.
Self -love is the love of self. I understand when you see your loved ones happy you are also happy. But don’t you feel you should think about your happiness first rather thinking about others? Today we don’t talk much about self-love because if we do so we will be tagged as selfish, but it’s completely ok to be selfish for your good. You need to be happy first then you can make others happy. If you are constantly living for others and not thinking about yourself then there will be a point where you will breakdown and realize that you had never focused on yourself.
You are precious and you deserve the amount of love that you kept on showering on others. Love yourself first, When you will make yourself a priority you will start taking care of yourself. People can instantly feel your positive energy. You will be happier. Don’t ever rely on others creating magic in your life instead create your own magic. Especially, women, I urge you to show some love to yourself. you are doing so well in handling your professional and personal life. But don’t exhaust yourself in fulfilling others’ requirements. You might be afraid of taking time for yourself because I am sure there will be some people around you who will judge you and might quote you selfish, irresponsible, lazy, etc. But it’s ok to let them judge you, those people shouldn’t matter to you because people who love you and concerned about you will never judge you, in fact, they will be glad watching you taking care of yourself. So stop feeling guilty or ashamed of showing love to yourself.
Here are some amazing ways to show love to yourself.
1) Start saying No.
There is no need to say yes to everything that comes to your way. If there is something that you don’t want to do then don’t do it. Say no directly and you will be free. There is nothing more important than your feelings so, don’t encounter yourself in a situation where you feel like you have been choked. There will be certain people who might not appreciate this practice but who cares? At least you will be happy and that’s more important.
2) Don’t overload yourself with so many responsibilities.
Yes, you heard right! It’s not your job to fix everything. Nowadays men and women are equal and they should share equal responsibilities. When you have too much to do be it work or home you compromise on your needs. so set boundaries for yourself and make people around you realize that they have responsibilities too.
3) Take care of yourself.
When you are feeling tired or low don’t look anywhere else, Simply go and take some spa sessions, meditation or sleep. Practicing good self-care is essential for your mental health. Take time for yourself and take a nap or watch a movie, whatever makes you happy but please take care of yourself.
4) Don’t limit your life.
Don’t live that monotonous life juggling from work to home and home to work. Take at least an hour to do the things that make you feel good about yourself and trust me that 1 hour will be a great stress buster for you. Join some dance classes, Zumba, singing classes, swimming, Gyming, whatever helps to drain out stress from your body.
5) Spend time with your friends too.
See you might have often taught that spend time with your family which is so true. But there is a time when you need your friends so that you can simply loosen up, share some secrets and have that extraordinary fun that you can’t do when you have a family around. Do you know what I mean?. I am sure you are. It is totally fine sometimes if you just want to be with your friends. It’s completely ok.
6) Be presentable where it requires
